Job Description At SSTAR, our mission above all else is healing the community, one person at a time. We will provide a personal level of healthcare and addiction treatment that addresses the mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of everyone we touch.
  • Provide intake and psychological documentation and the resulting treatment pans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and aftercare plans
  • Create, write, and present Cognitive Restructuring Anger Management educational lectures and corresponding workshops
  • Facilitate Cognitive Restructuring Anger Management group counseling sessions
  • Provide individual counseling, crisis counseling, and referrals for further service
  • Responsible for ensuring continued professional growth & development and maintaining license and/or certificate educational requirements
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the professional/ethical/safety/department procedure criteria
Additional Responsibilities and Duties
  • Present at Classification Boards
  • Participate in Teams meetings
  • Comply with Accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrates willingness to adjust schedule to reflect innate an/or program needs
  • Actively participate in Clinical supervision
  • Provide monthly statistical reports
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Experience and Skills
  • CAC/CADAC or within one (1) year of being qualified for CAC, or AA, BA, BS and within two (2) years of qualifying for CAC, or Master's Degree
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with clients in a Substance Abuse Treatment setting, correctional setting, or equivalent
  • Ability to create and present unique educational & skill development lectures and workshops through knowledge of the 12-Step programs and disease concept of addiction
  • Ability to implement Cognitive Behavior Curriculum and lesson plans
  • Demonstrate professionalism and accountability
  • Maintain federal confidentiality requirements
