Prepares and publishes summaries and recommendations for grant projects to be funded for submittal to the Public Safety Coordinating Council. Coordinates and oversees statewide initiatives and efforts within assigned program areas. Participates in program area-related task forces and work groups.Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Minimum Requirements - A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.Agency RequirementsBachelor's degree and four years of progressively responsible program or administrative experience in a related field (experience in criminal justice is desirable).Should be familiar with research techniques, data analysis and presentation and federal grant principles. Position requires a self-motivated individual with very strong proof-reading/editing capabilities, excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills. Applicant must have the ability to create clear, concise and comprehensive written reports and documents.Must be able to understand, relate to, assist and provide presentations to state and local and other criminal justice agencies at meetings and conferences. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with state and local agencies, related organizations, and private groups. Employee must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to effectively manage and coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously. Ability to use personal computer and related Microsoft Office software and audio-visual equipment.Considerable in-state and intra-city travel will be required.
