Job Description - PROGRAM COORDINATOR II: STUDENT INVOLVEMENT & LEADERSHIP (T221949)PROGRAM COORDINATOR II: STUDENT INVOLVEMENT & LEADERSHIPThis position reports to the Director of Student Involvement & Leadership and will support the financial processes and day-to-day operations of the Student Involvement & Leadership office located in the Hill Student Center. The person in this position will support the office's professional, graduate, and student-employee teams by facilitating financial processes for programs, events, and initiatives, supervising student employees, maintaining supply inventory, and assisting with departmental practices and procedures. This position has significant interaction with students, faculty, staff, and external vendors and partners on behalf of the department. This position will be 100% on-site.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and provide ongoing development for the student employee team that provides front desk coverage in the Student Involvement & Leadership office. Develop a schedule for academic semesters, breaks, and summer to ensure adequate office coverage and front desk support.
  • Coordinate contracts, vendor disclosures, purchase card compliance, and payment requests for programs and events sponsored by the areas of Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Activities, Leadership & Service, Student Success, and Student Assembly Building operations. Ensure adherence to 17 program budgets and provide financial support and guidance for the 9 professional employees working in the department.
  • Provide initial training and guidance for the Vice President for Finance and the corresponding branch of the Undergraduate Student Government Association. Facilitate financial processes on a semesterly basis for student government, including student organization allocations, travel grant allocations, student leader stipend/scholarship payments, and purchase card and payment request orders for programs and events sponsored by the student government.
  • Serve as the sole individual processing HR documents for the Student Involvement & Leadership Office and the Student Assembly Building, including the processing of hire documents for all staff in the 4 functional areas and 2 physical facilities supported by Student Involvement & Leadership.
  • Support the Student Involvement & Leadership Office's day-to-day operations in the Hill Student Center. This includes maintaining appropriate supplies and inventory for professional and student staff in the office and in the Student Assembly Building, ensuring office cleanliness in the main office, student work room, kitchen, and internal and external storage areas, addressing departmental inquiries through phone, email, and in-person communications, and tracking this information for assessment purposes.
  • Support Student Involvement & Leadership participation in recruitment events by tabling on behalf of the department and coordinating the department's participation in informational and recruiting activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.Hourly Wage: $18.35-$20.00Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in the use of technology, with extensive experience in Microsoft Office and other online software applications essential for this role.
