Program Coordinator in the Office of Intercultural Student Engagement oversees the student Connections Peer Educator program across our resource centers, Multicultural Resource Center, Gender & Sexuality Resource Center, and Women's Resource Center. They will supervise and work collaboratively with ISE Graduate Assistants and student assistants to foster belonging by creating intersectional and empowering programs across identity groups. They collaborate with professional staff in the Great Dane Union, student organizations, and the Office of Communications on campus wide awareness initiatives.

Essential Functions:

* Support the recruitment and supervision of paid and volunteer collegiate student staff members in Intercultural Student Engagement. This includes participating in hiring, training, scheduling, and staff evaluation.

* Oversee the daily student function and programmatic development of centers to enhance belonging and coalition building within and between students of various Faith and Spiritual traditions, LGBTQ+ students, ALANA students, and their allies. For example, the Program Coordinator will organize programs across centers for emphasis months, coordinate advertising and events for awareness days, and arrange tabling and outreach schedules across campus.

* Oversee evening programmatic offerings of connections, peer educators, and centers in collaboration with other GDU events. For example, approve student staff programs, ensure programs don't conflict with other campus-wide programming, and coordinate scheduling for ongoing events like First Friday, Art Therapy Thursdays, Welcome Week Events, Speaker Series, and Center Reservations.

* Oversee ISE social media presence and maintain calendar of emphasis months/ holiday's/ holy days and allied connection events.

* Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Intercultural Student Engagement to support intersectional connection and belonging initiatives amongst student club leaders out of the resource centers.

* Assist with campus wide outreach and intersectional programing in the Great Dane Union inclusive but not limited to Ex. Intersections Orientation, Great DaneTopia, Cultural Carnival, Student Conferences etc.

* Serve on assigned workgroups and/or committees as an advocate for social change and belonging support within the larger campus community.

* Research, and assist with, innovative assessment through which to convey each center programmatic and social impact.

* Position may require work nights, weekends, and special events.

Functional and Supervisory Relationships:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Intercultural Student Engagement the Program Coordinator will work alongside professional and student staff in ISE in addition to those across Student Activities and Campus Center Management as part of the Great Dane Union.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in related field: Multicultural Studies, Intercultural Communication, Women's, Gender, & Sexuality, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work etc.

* At least 1 year of successful programming experience in an intersectional environment.

* Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community

* Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in a related field

* Experience working with a college or university population

* Experience with developing intersectional communities on a college campus

* Experience with supervising hourly staff and/or interns

* Experience leading social media communications.

* Experience presenting on intersectional identities and/or conference presentations

Additional Information:

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Staff Assistant, SL-2, $50,000-$52,000
