SCHEDULE Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM SUMMARY Family Service League is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for the Alcohol Prevention Program in Mastic. The Program Coordinator will oversee substance use primary prevention services throughout Suffolk County and provide prevention education programing to identified populations. RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Program Coordinator will supervise and train staff to provide quality prevention education programming.
- Conduct outreach to schools and community groups.
- Plan and schedule prevention education programs.
- Deliver evidence-based prevention education curriculum (Too Good for Drugs, Positive Action and others).
- The Program Coordinator will conduct outreach through networking.
- Electronic reporting of all program activities and demographics.
- Preparation of annual workplan and reports.
- The Program Coordinator will order materials and oversee program spending.
- Create and execute substance abuse prevention community presentations.
- Participate in Health Fairs.
- Complete and monitor an annual workplan using OASAS Prevention Guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in education or related field required. Minimum of 4 years of prior experience conducting presentations to children and adults required. At least 1 year of prior supervisory experience required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online reporting systems required. Extensive knowledge of illicit and abused substances. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required. Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires teaching for several hours in one day and the transportation of program materials.
