Job Summary This position will assist in developing the faculty and academic support functions of the Mechanical Engineering Department's undergraduate program, in coordination with the Department Head and Business Manager.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Collects and maintains data for ABET and SACS accreditation.
- Updates graduate and undergraduate catalog.
- Processes new course descriptions.
- Maintains and updates all web and printed materials for the undergraduate program.
- Orders instructor texts for all MECH classes.
- Maintains enrollment data base, teaching schedule database, and teaching assistant database.
- Supports development of reports for academic programs.
- Class scheduling administrative coordinator.
- Departmental point of contact for prospective undergraduate students and parents.
- Administrative coordinator for undergraduate program recruiting.
- Provides departmental resource for undergraduate students on academic policies, procedures, and degree requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining records of variances.
- Tracks job placement of recent graduates and networks with upcoming graduates.
- Develops networking program to maintain communication with alumni.
- Department representative for alumni activity and communication.
- Develop and maintain alumni database.
- Liason between department and other campus partners including: ASME student chapter, Career Services Office and Industrial Practice Programs, ECS Senior Associate Dean and ECS Assessment Office, Office of the Registrar, and OUGA .
- Remains current on university policy and procedures within the area of the undergraduate program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled.
