Program Coordinator (Full-Time)The Revenue Authority of Prince George's County has openings for our Program Coordinatorposition. The Program Coordinator to perform administrative duties in functional areas such as payment processing, data input, phone calls, mail, filing, tabulating, sorting, processing routine records. In addition, the incumbent would provide aid to a wide variety of administrative functions including support services for Boot/Tow Program, Residential Parking Permit Program, and Abandoned Vehicle Unit.We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for this full-time opportunity, who can work Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.The agency is a quasi-governmental entity that serves as a real estate development and development finance agency, an operator of programs and facilities, and a manager of programs and facilities in partnership with other County agencies. Positions are paid directly through the Revenue Authority of Prince George's County payroll.Qualifications/Skills Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) + years of advanced and/or technical clerical/administrative experience in a public, customer service environment for at least six (6) months.
  • The ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and faxing.
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, Board Members, county officials, District Court staff, State Attorney, Motor Vehicle Administration, citizens, vendors, and others.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to negotiate and solve problems or resolve differences with parking patrons, District Court and other operating agencies concerning violations payments and correspondence tactfully and effectively.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Authority of Prince George's County and general county government procedures and the inter-relationship between the various county agencies or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
  • Ability to be flexible, as occasional adjustments of the regular scheduled work location may be required
Responsibilities:
  • Receives difficult complaints; offers information to interested people and groups; document preparation.
  • Answers incoming calls and correspondence regarding meter complaints, payments, change of address, court status, court requests, ticket errors, flagging by Motor Vehicle Administration, making corrections when necessary.
  • Prepares and assists the public with information and correspondence pertaining to violations.
  • Proactively reviews account history and provides motorists with detailed information and or update account history.
  • Processes citations, schedule District Court appeals, and responds to inquiries regarding citations issued, collection of fines, and the posting of court dispositions.
  • Maintains files for violations, court requests, Failure-to-pay, Failure-to-appear, not-on file, closed tickets, and meter complaints.
  • Ability to act independently and to recognize situations, which require referral to higher authority
  • Provides Boot/Tow and Abandoned Vehicle Unit assistance by preparing and mailing certified impound letters to registered owners, filing and sorting letters, and other tasks as required.
  • Provides Residential Parking Permit assistance by updating user accounts, entering data from various source documents, answering and routing questions related to office or department operations, document preparation, preparation of information packets, and other tasks as required.
  • Represents the Agency to the public in a manner that is positive, knowledgeable, courteous, fair, authoritative, and within the scope of assigned duties at all times.
  • Responds to inquiries and referrals from other offices to ensure that information flow is accurate and prompt and to maintain good public relations.
  • Actively seeks out opportunities to work with others in other departments to solve Agency operational or business issues.
