POSITION PURPOSEThe primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator is to work in the Enlightening Native Daughters Sexual Assault: END Sexual Assault program. This federally funded project is for three years and is designed to address victims and increase the safety and well-being of women and children through increased awareness and prevention. As the Program Coordinator, this individual will work under the direction of the Program Director, directors of other tribal programs, and community partners. The Project Coordinator will work closely with two Community Health Workers (CHW) to provide culturally based community outreach, including education and prevention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, & RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services, the Program Director, and project partners to ensure that project activities are implemented, evaluated, and reviewed. Provides day-to-day supervision for CHW when working in the community to provide education and awareness activities that address project goals. Participates in the community advisory board that informs of the project's work. All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONSExperience:Demonstrated at least 3 years of experience in program implementation.At least one year experience in supervision of non-licensed personnel. Education: Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Social Services or related field.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative to those an employee encounters while performing the primary functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with clients, vendors, and staff.Mental demands:There are a number of deadlines associated with this position.
