Established in 1981, CMAA is a cornerstone of the Asia on Argyle corridor of the Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago with a satellite office in Elgin, IL, providing programs to serve our community across generations. We offer after-school, summer camp, and mentoring programs for young people. For adults, we provide case management and social services, education including English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, job preparation and placement services, and immigration and citizenship case assistance. We connect older adults to in-home care support and community enrichment through our Golden Age Club. Finally, we support entrepreneurs and small businesses as the only AAPI-led Small Business Development Center in Illinois. RequirementsChinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is looking for a detail-oriented and committed full-time program coordinator to provide administrative support for our in-home services program.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to the Department Manager and Assistant Manager on matters related to in-home services clients and Home Care Aides.
- Assists with scheduling service for clients and Home Care Aides' work schedules.
- Conducts in-home visits in clients' homes and evaluations of Home Care Aides.
- Conducting quarterly conferences with HCA and monthly calls to clients.
- Engages in regular communication with Home Care Aide.
- Manages electronic visit verification database and monitors Home Care Aide's attendance.
- Attends home care supervisor training and department meetings.
- Assists with compiling reports for payroll and billing.
- Assists with maintaining client and Home Care Aide files.
- Coordinates pre-service and in-service training for Home Care Aides.
- Interprets for the case managers, clients, and Home Care Aide as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong knowledge of multiple Google platforms and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with databases and data entry is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; self-disciplined with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Bilingual in English and an Asian language (Lao, Thai, Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Burmese, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Experience working with immigrant and refugee communities is strongly preferred.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
- This is a largely sedentary role, however, some filing is required. This could require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
