North Suffolk Community Services (NSCS) is looking for a Program Director to join our It Takes a Village Team! The Program Director be responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the Recovery Coaching Programs. This position serves as the primary liaison to referring agencies, including, ensuring seamless coordination of treatment plans and recovery coach assignments. The Program Director will oversee the comprehensive delivery of services aimed at engaging with recovery networks, enhancing reentry initiatives, and implementing outreach strategies that align with clinical recommendations.This position is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; Some nights or weekends may be required to attend off-site functions. What you'll do:
- Hires, trains, schedules and supervises coach team and managers assigned to this department and ensures all regulatory guidelines and best practices are adhered to.
- Collaborate with treating providers, including clinicians and prescribers to develop, organize and streamline scheduling brief interventions that facilitate treatment engagement for referrals.
- Design and oversee the implementation of individual action plans and wellness plans for participants, ensuring consistent review of their goals and objectives
- Ensure that program documentation and individual records are current, comprehensive and meet or exceed agency and funding source standards.
- Implements agency/department policies and procedures, ensures compliance with relevant licensing and performance specification.
- Provide on-call (cell phone) coverage. Respond to staff coverage, routine questions and system navigation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) preferred.
- Experience:
- Ideal candidate must have lived experience with substance use and criminal justice involvement.
- Must have experience and knowledge regarding the addiction treatment service system, recovery coaching, judicial system and other related human services.
