Partnership with Children works with public schools in New York City's highest-need communities to provide critical social and emotional services for the hardest-to-reach youth and to systematically support schools that are safe, successful and conducive to learning.This position oversees teams of staff several community schools. We view community schools as an essential strategy to fulfill our mission of working toward a more just and equitable society by helping vulnerable young people strengthen their emotional, social and cognitive skills to succeed in school, society and life. Our model of community schools is unique in that we pair Masters-level clinical Social Workers with Community School Directors to work side by side in schools. This ensures that our community schools provide individual student and parent social-emotional supports facilitated by the Social Workers, as well as the coordination of resources, academic and enrichment supports, and community development activities facilitated by our Community School Directors.The ideal candidate is a skilled leader and manager, is passionate about social justice, and committed to empowering students, families, schools and communitiesResponsibilities:
- Conduct weekly structured administrative supervision of direct reports (Social Work Directors who are LCSW/LMSWs and Community School Directors)
- Develop staff's management and leadership skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, building and maintaining effective collaborations, and using data to inform programmatic decisions
- Serve as a guide during crisis situations with children and youth
- Model development and maintenance of key collaborative relationships including school principal, school staff and various NYC Department of Education staff engaged at the school and District Levels
- Ensure the Partnership with Children program is implemented with fidelity to the model
- Develop staff's ability to integrate into and engage with school culture through fostering positive relationships with school community
- Direct the development of annual work plans and goals. Monitor progress and negotiate changes with stakeholders
- Ensure administrative records and data collection are timely and high quality, including managing budgets
- Use data to monitor and improve program quality and make programmatic decisions
- Be an active participant in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and utilize your knowledge and learning in your work
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of high-need communities and public schools as well as social service, education and behavioral health issues that impact students and their families
- Commitment to demonstrating PWC's organizational values of: Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Going to Solution, Equity & Inclusion, and Passion
- Licensed as LCSW in New York State with SIFI certification
- At least 8 years of post-master's degree experience as a social worker
- At least 4 years' experience as supervisor or manager, preferably of social workers
- Strong knowledge of school as setting for social work practice, experience working with school staff and families
- Exceptional managerial, supervisory and staff development skills
- Understanding of change management as it relates to organizations and schools; ability to support staff in being change agents
- Superior engagement, communication and presentation skills with stakeholders including principals and parents
- Ability to help schools develop interdisciplinary teams and systems and procedures
- Ability to form and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with colleagues, principals and other strategic stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a high autonomy/high accountability environment
- Ability to adapt; encourage openness, flexibility and creativity in meeting programmatic and regulatory needs

- Full-time, some weeknight and Saturday hours

Salary and Benefits:Salary range is $88,000-$95,000.
