Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supervision of assigned staff in the Self-Direction program
- Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring, of program staff
- Participate in the completion of new intakes
- Develop a system to communicate with individuals and families/advocates in order to monitor service provision satisfaction and to ensure services are implemented as described in life plans/staff actions plans
- Ensure that current budgets, invoices, and life plans/staff action plans for individuals receiving services are developed, distributed, and filed, per Agency standard
- Facilitate positive communication with other departments and accept assignments in other areas as requested by supervisor
- Provide person-centered, quality, services
Education & Experience:Associate Degree in Human Services and two years' experience working with people with disabilities required. Bachelor Degree in Human Services field plus one year experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Two years supervisory experience required. Support Broker certification with at least one year of Fiscal Intermediary and/or Support Broker experience required.Conditions of EmploymentMust possess a valid NYS Driver's license in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving Policy and have transportation necessary to meet departmental needs.
