Under the direction of the Dean of Workforce Education, the Clinical Relations Specialist will serve as a centralized information broker for the Allied Health and Nursing Departments to coordinate clinical placement and communications regarding clinical processes for students, in addition to being the first contact for external partners about renewal or creation of affiliation agreements. This position may supervise other positions within the Workforce Education Division as assigned. This is a grant funded position through June 30, 2025, and is contingent upon continuous grant funding. This grant funding position is a full-time classified position with a full state benefits package. Grant funded positions are continued on an annual basis if grant funds are available.ESSENTIAL TASKS:* Lead college programs in the development of appropriate systems and processes to streamline efforts connected to clinical placement, onboarding, orientations, affiliation agreements and health record collection.* Develop and compile statistics for current activities and long-range planning efforts.* Provide data and analytics of clinical placements to various departments.* Ensure placements meet contractual obligations and work with faculty leads and Directors to address any concerns.* Serve as the centralized contact for all educational and clinical partners connected to Allied Health and Nursing programs.* Review, create and manage clinical affiliation agreements/contracts following college policy and procedure.* Create and provide clinical onboarding and immunization orientations for students quarterly in person and online.* Create and manage online tutorials for clinical placements and immunization requirements on the college website.* Develop and maintain information on the college website for assigned healthcare programs regarding the clinical placement and immunization process.* Facilitate clinical placement for students at partner healthcare facilities in collaboration with Department Directors and faculty program chairs/leads.* Determine compliance of required immunizations on a case-by-case basis for all faculty and students.* Review and track faculty and student immunization records for completeness and compliance with state regulatory agencies (e.g. the WA State Nursing Commission), accrediting bodies and clinical agency requirements. Maintain student and faculty clinical and HIPAA files.* Utilize college approved software to manage immunization and clinical partner registration requirements for placement (MyMCE and Qualified First).* Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other clinical agency sites in YVC's service district.* Prepare communication materials, represent the college at meetings, conduct outreach, and give presentations with key stakeholders as requested.* Develop and compile statistics for current activities and long-range planning efforts.* Provide data and analytics of clinical placements to various departments.* Maintain agency partner contact list.* Maintain records of clinical placements by program.* Communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing, with college employees, departments and outside agencies.* Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.* Demonstrate multicultural competence (including an awareness and understanding of historically disadvantaged populations) and create an educational and work environment that affirms commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.* Support the college's mission by creating a learning and work environment of mutual respect and fairness, while encouraging creative and critical thinking. Contribute to the appreciation of diversity and foster a climate of inclusiveness and equity.* May supervise other staff positions, which would include creating professional development plans in conjunction with staff; train, lead and mentor staff, approve time and leave, serve as a support for staff and follow collective bargaining agreements.* Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Associate's degree.* 3 or more years of professional experience in clinical placement/education or healthcare programs.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Professional experience in higher education* Onboarding, training, or advising experience* Experience crafting language for contracts and agreements between multiple agencies* Project management experience 3+ years* Supervisory experience 1+ years* Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills* Demonstrated attention to detail required as well as previous experience maintaining accurate records, managing multiple tasks, planning and organizing work to meet changing priorities and deadlinesKNOWLEDGE OF:* Microsoft Office, specifically experience creating & editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
