We are seeking a Program Manager to join our Denver team who is practiced in delivering capital projects and programs, has demonstrated leadership capabilities, and experience with client communications for high-value projects or programs.This is a full-time position based out of our Denver Office, with flexible and hybrid work options.About Us:AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies. AtkinsRéalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.About You:In this Program Manager role, you will provide leadership and guidance to teams pursuing and delivering mid- to large-sized capital engineering and architectural programs. You will oversee and coordinate multiple program elements, including Project Management, Controls, Communications, Technology, Regulatory, and other aspects as required by our client/s. You will be an integral team member of AtkinsRéalis support of municipal clients across Colorado.How your experience will contribute to the team:Client Management and Marketing* Strengthen client relations with existing clients and build new relationships with others. Serve as point of contact to the client and act as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program related issues.* Develop products for the client including Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerBI analytics; oversee and review development of such products as completed by project team/s.* Create and deliver presentations on behalf and in support of the client's program.* Lead and facilitate meetings and decisions within the client's organization.* Identify gaps within client program and project management process and instill best practices as it relates to assignment.* Represent client at public-facing events and activities, including presentations to industry, to governing bodies, and to the public.* Actively pursue, investigate, and evaluate new or expanded opportunities for associated projects and services within the firm by maintaining contacts with current and prospective client decision makers; identify and work towards the resolution of client relations problems.* Develop, implement, and monitor annual and strategic marketing plans for targeted projects; participate in the development of Strategic Plan.Project and Resource Management* Coordinate with client project manager/s and key client representatives to manage workload, deliverables, and task order budgets across evolving client program priorities.* Assist project staff in developing work plans; review and approve schedules, budgets, project milestone dates, and work products.* Manage resources across AtkinsRéalis and subconsultants to ensure staffing levels meet project needs.* Oversee financial performance of projects; assist project staff in identifying potential problems to ensure remedial actions are taken to avoid financial losses and client dissatisfaction.* Develop, communicate, and manage project quality assurance, administrative procedures, communications guidelines, project deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.Contracts and Financial* Conduct contract negotiations with clients and sub-consultants.* Recommend operational budgets for approval by senior management. Review and confirm proposed project budgets.* Monitor monthly performance against budget to ensure project profitability.* Manage assignments of large complex projects comprised of highly sophisticated and unconventional components, usually generating more than $5 million in annual net revenue.* Direct project team compliance with contract terms, monitor subcontractors' progress, performance, and compliance with contractual commitments; participate in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance, administration, and other liability issues; review subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolve payment disputes.* Monitor schedules, billings, and reports; ensure appropriate charging of work hours, costs, and expenses to projects; communicate project progress to senior management and alert them of project production, quality control or financial performance problems.Internal Staff Administration* Assist management team in identifying staffing needs and the hiring process based on future workload and projections for project staffing.* Will manage indirect reports from AtkinsRéalis' Technical Professional Organization who are selected for staffing projects, and support mentoring and evaluation of these staff.* Will be responsible for direct management of staff.What will you contribute?* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Finance, Economics, or a related field.* 10 + years of progressively responsible experience in project or program management.* Experience managing large municipal program contracts, leading large and diverse teams.* Experience briefing Executive Leadership on business plans and growth strategies.* Experience with direct client management and track record of effectively delivering on project and program goals.* Excellent oral, written, and technical communication skills.* Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.* Strong financial management skills.* Program Management Professional (PMP) or interest to acquire certification within 12 months.* Proficient computer skills (including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Professional).* Strong team management and motivation skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable interacting with Clients and Client Stakeholders.What we offer at AtkinsRéalis:AtkinsRéalis realizes that health, mental and financial wellbeing, are all equally needed to achieve balance in life.
