The Program Administrator - Recycling Program will lead and oversee all aspects of our national consumer battery recycling program. The person in this role will have strong organizational skills, project management experience, a background in federal grant administration, and a passion for sustainability. The Program Administrator will be responsible for managing the program's day-to-day operations, including collection point rollouts, training initiatives, community partnerships, and grant compliance. - Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the national consumer battery recycling program.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of collection point rollouts across designated store locations.
- Monitor program performance metrics and provide regular reports to management on progress and outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with franchisees and stores on program updates, requirements, and best practices.
- Develop training materials and resources for collection point staff and volunteers.
- Conduct training sessions to educate stakeholders on proper battery handling, sorting, and recycling procedures.
- Collaborate with educational institutions and community organizations to promote awareness and participation in the recycling program.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, including local governments, businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
- Coordinate outreach events and campaigns to raise awareness about battery recycling and encourage community involvement.
- Participate in public speaking engagements and presentations to promote the program and its environmental benefits.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
- Prepare grant proposals and funding applications to support program expansion and sustainability efforts.
- Track expenditures and maintain accurate records to facilitate grant auditing and reporting processes.

- Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, public administration, or related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in program management, grant administration, environmental education, or relevant experience.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate productive partnerships.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices related to waste management and recycling.
- Experience with grant writing, budget management, and grant compliance.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability initiatives preferred.
