Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:Job Summary: Responsible for all leadership and management aspects of specific contract programs as assigned by the Program Manager. Manages all program activities and directs a staff of matrixed personnel to produce the contractually required end product(s) within the cost, technical, and schedule requirements of the contract in support of corporate business plan goals. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Financial systems and reports/reporting experience preferred.This role engages/works with Finance stakeholders and should have experience with accounting.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in negotiations as required with the customer as well as internally with various functional departments for the performance of work packages to specification; within time and cost constraints to ensure profit objectives are met.Establish program priorities, schedules, and budgets for engineering and related tasks. Participates in developing overall program objectives, strategies, budgets, and schedules.Promptly identify all deficiencies and deviations from the plan to higher management.Direct activities of the program team as assigned. Conduct regular program evaluation and review meetings to identify current and future problems and initiate actions for their resolution.Arrange and attend meetings with the customer as requiredInterface with customers on technical issues, scheduling, and cost and respond to all customer technical and operational questions with appropriate assistance from functional organizations.Prepare and submit progress reports to higher management and to the customer when required.Maintain regular liaison with all program contributors to ensure the necessary level of communication is in place to ensure realization of their commitmentsMonitor major purchase orders and subcontracts.Participate in approval of make/buy decisions for the program.Monitor and evaluate subcontractors' performance to ensure cost, technical, and schedule requirements are met.Monitor and ensure the control of product quality and configuration.Ensure that all contract deliverables and services are properly delivered to the customer for acceptance within the contractual schedule.Verify timely invoicing of all completed Contract Line Item Numbers.Interface with cross-functional teams to create and maintain project/subproject schedules.Creation and maintenance of CVT schedules.Monitor DD250 status, ROM, and proposal effortsMonitor subcontractor & vendor delivery status, progress toward deliverable dates, and risks to program.Monitor resource status for project needs, providing resource needs to functions.Continuous monitoring of EAC status as well as supporting quarterly EAC's.Support of quarterly PMR's, IPT's.Develop and implement process improvements to enhance PM responsiveness.Minimum Job Requirements: Four-year college degree, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree. An engineering degree is preferred.Six (6)+ years of technical or program-related experience. Customer-facing experience is essential.Background expertise in company product line desired.PMP Certification desired.Must be thoroughly familiar with program management disciplines and aspects of system engineering requirements, engineering design, product development, and production.Background in finance and accounting.Conversant in user/customer terminology.Familiar with user/customer current equipment and platforms.Patience and ability to deal with a wide variety of departmental issues.Must possess broad-based computer skills, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Skilled at team building and consensus building.Pro-active leader who is decisive and action-oriented.The description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities, and requirements. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
