You will be a part of a dynamic caring team that promotes creativity, growth, and having fun.This is a full-time salaried 40 hour-a-week position receiving benefits. This position oversees the management of a six (6) bed licensed level III shared living facility for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities at all stages of life up to and including end of life.Duties and Responsibilities -
  • Oversee the supervision of a six (6) bed level III licensed residential facility for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism providing full care including but not limited to bathing, toileting, feeding, participating in and transporting to appointments and community activities.
  • Ensure and oversee safe lifting and transfer of clients with limited mobility.
  • Ensure the daily operation of the facility are performed including but not limited to cleaning, food preparation, laundry, and shopping for supplies.
  • Timely documentation of clinical services provided for each client via the electronic medical record.
  • Review ISAs and other mandatory documents, provide technical assistance to improve and expand quality of paperwork.
  • Participate in and ensure that clinical oversight as indicated by consumer need (ISA) is followed by Case Manager and team.
  • Assist in managing the facility budget by careful review of timesheets and expenses. Assist in managing use of client funds in collaboration with the agency accounting team.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining and ensuring the implementation of individual treatment plans for program residents as well as monitoring for quality development of each plan in compliance with licensing and DDS regulations.
  • Assure accountability by adhering to the financial and service parameters as set forth in Medicaid Waiver.
  • Liaise between clients, guardians, other agency staff, and all regulatory bodies such as DAIL.
  • Ensure physical and emotional safety of residents.
  • Participate in CDS management team meetings and other agency wide meetings as necessary.
  • Embrace programmatic mission and assist residents and staff in the process of positive change.
  • On-call responsibilities for residential coverage and other related home situations.
  • Other duties for this position as assigned.
Qualifications -
  • The manager must have completed a state-approved certification course or have one of the following:
  • At least an Associate's degree in the area of human services and two years of administrative experience in adult residential care;
  • Three years of general experience in residential care, including one year in management, supervisory, or administrative capacity;
  • A current Vermont license as a nurse or nursing home administrator; or
  • Other professional qualifications and experience related to the provision of healthcare services or management of healthcare facilities including, but not limited to, that of a licensed or certified social worker.
  • Directors/administrators must complete 20 hours of continuing education per year in courses related to assisted living principles and the philosophy and care of the elderly and disabled individuals.
  • Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) status or eligible to obtain QDDP status
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to move from task to task with ease.
  • Experience using electronic medical record systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite including but not limited to Team, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Possesses driver's license with clean driving record and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Able to move from sitting to standing tasks with ease.
  • Able to walk up to one mile at a time.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
