Under the general direction of the Assistant Director - Headquarters Response, the Program Manager III (PM III) serves as a Branch Manager overseeing the management, administrative, and coordination responsibilities for the Response Support Operations (RSO); Response System Integration (RSI); and California State Warning Center (CSWC). This position is responsible for the oversight of programs responsible for but not limited to:
- RSO: Incident Support Team rosters consisting of individuals that provide support to the State Operations Center; and coordination of out-of-state resources.
- RSI: Technology system integration into Response Operations; and develop and provide training to key stakeholders on system functionality.
- CSWC: Statewide alert and notifications; and Executive Duty Officer Program.
In addition, a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, developing, and implementing plans, policies, and procedures in support to Cal OES mission and vision. Will interact and coordinate with local government, and state and federal agencies. The PM III directs the administration of emergency services programs of multiple sections and areas responsible for planning preparedness and/or response and recovery operations. The PM III may be required to provide support to the State Operations Center (SOC) in a leadership role or other function and will be required to obtain a Type I certification. Examination & Additional Information Training and Development (T&D) assignments are temporary assignments to provide an employee training and experience to move to a different occupational field. A T&D assignment is a formal agreement between the employee, the current supervisor, and the new supervisor.
