Job Type Full-time Description Who We Are Founded in 1999, Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF) is a statewide nonprofit with a central office in Columbia, Md., and staff located in communities throughout the state. Using personal experience as parents, caregivers, youth, and other loved ones, we connect, support, and empower Maryland's families. Our staff provide one-to-one support to parents and primary caregivers of loved ones with mental health, substance use and gambling issues. We also advocate to improve systems that impact individuals with behavioral health challenges. Overview The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the training, supervision, and professional development of Team Supervisors, who in turn manage Family Peer Support Specialists. The Program Manager is instrumental in fostering and maintaining partnerships that align with and advance the organization's objectives. This statewide role necessitates occasional visits to the Central Office in Columbia. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provide Non-Profit Management Expertise :- Utilize extensive experience in non-profit management to offer guidance and support to Team Supervisors in the effective management of programs and personnel. - Leverage knowledge of non-profit operations to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize organizational efficiency. 2. Grant Award Management: - Demonstrate proficiency in managing grant awards, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements. - Oversee the allocation of grant funds to support program initiatives and organizational goals. 3. Lead Training and Development: - Provide training, supervision, and professional development to Team Supervisors, emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector. - Equip Team Supervisors with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage grant-funded programs and initiatives. 4. Create and Sustain a Healthy Work Environment: - Foster a positive and supportive work environment for staff under supervision, promoting well-being, job satisfaction, and professional growth. - Implement strategies and initiatives to ensure a healthy work-life balance and to address any workplace issues or concerns promptly and effectively. 5.   • Personal experience ( not work-related experience) as a primary caregiver of a loved one with mental health or substance use challenges is required.
  • Must live in St. Mary's, Charles, Calvert, Montgomery, or Frederick county
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a human services field, or minimum of five years of experience working with families caring for children with behavioral health challenges.
  • Minimum three (3) yeas supervisory experience in the human services field is required.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to work with diverse staff in a strengths-based way.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes.
  • Can effectively utilize technology, including databases, and possesses working knowledge MS office suite.
  • Mission-driven and flexible; able to anticipate issues and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state and within the region regularly. Current Maryland driver's license and insurance, and access to own vehicle.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required for all MCF employees.
