As a Project Manager at XLA, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of projects designed to address some of the world's most pressing problems. This is a full-time remote role that will require you to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, and to have a holistic understanding of project management principles. The Program Manager shall be responsible for the overall management and performance of the contract and be the primary point of contact to the Government. Also but not limited too:
1. Ensuring Task Order deliverables are submitted on time and to professional quality standards.
2. Monitoring of project performance using data.
3. Regular written reporting on country context, project activities, performance monitoring data, analysis of project impact, and information on future relevant activities/events.
4. Periodic conference call project updates and occasional in-person briefings.
5. Financial management and reporting.
6. Conducting risk assessments and risk mitigation planning.
7. Problem solving to identify ways to achieve DOS programmatic and policy objectives
Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Manager shall be responsible for the overall management and performance of the contract and be the primary point of contact to the Government. The PM shall ensure that all project budgets, personnel, and activities meet Department of State standards and are in accordance with the Global Advisory IDIQ and task order performance work statements requirements. The PM shall provide the Department of State any requested program or contract information and communicate regularly with the Department of State Program Office to discuss any anticipated challenges or concerns.
The PM shall conduct assessments and engage with a wide-range of stakeholders, including U.S. government agencies and offices, regional and multilateral officials, other international donors, local leaders, academics and non-governmental organizations in order to identify critical needs of the programs.
The PM shall collect, track and maintain all information for programs awarded to the contractor. The PM shall develop frameworks and assessment tools to enhance the overall monitoring and evaluation of projects, travel periodically to international locations to conduct assessments, monitor and review programs, and meet with U.S. Embassy representatives and other international partners to ensure that projects are meeting their objectives and that project personnel are performing up to Department of State standards. The PM shall research and provide updates leveraging best practices and initiatives related to strengthening security sector assistance.
Requirements
* US Citizen.
* Secret Security Clearance.
* DOD Program Management Experience a plus!
* Six (6) years of project/program management experience.
* Ten (10) years of professional experience as a manager
* Strong organization and interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
* PMP Certification
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
* Bachelor's degree and at least ten (10) years of prior professional experience in program management.
OR
Master's degree and at least six (6) years prior professional experience in program management.
* Experience living and working overseas.
* Fluent English language speaking and writing ability.
