The Program Manager is responsible for supporting this mission by efficiently operating and managing a Cornerstone residential facility program for six individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. The Program Manager's responsibilities are as follows:Description Staff Supervision & TrainingProvide on-site supervision and training to direct support staff in the following areas:Implementation of the residents' Individual Service PlansRecording program data on:Resident behaviorsTask analysisMedication AdministrationSpecial Incident ReportsTraining residents in independent living skillsBasic care and assisting residents with self-help skills such as personal hygieneAssisting residents with daily living skills, including laundry, general light housekeeping duties, cookingMedication administration/documentationMeal preparation, food handling, and storageThe most important aspect of staff training is ensuring that staff members learn to treat residents with dignity and respect.Staff SchedulingMaintain a two-week staff schedule, following overtime policy and the approved staffing pattern. This responsibility includes the review and approval of staff timesheets. Ensure that direct support staff is assigned tasks and individual residents on any given shift. Ensure and promote staff accountability for required work and have a system for reviewing assignments.Communicate with the Cornerstone Day Program Coordinator regarding staffing for the residents' Individual Day Program(s), as applicable.Staff MeetingsArrange monthly staff meetings. Prepare an agenda, keep notes, and document attendance. Attend and actively participate in monthly clinical meetings and individualized day program meetings (if applicable), and ensure the attendance of direct support and day program staff members.Implementation of Residents' ProgramsAssist with the development of, and ensure the implementation of programs for each resident. In addition to preventing maladaptive behaviors, the main goal of staff interventions should be teaching functional replacement skills, including communication.Communication with Day Programs and FamiliesCommunicate with the day program providers and the Cornerstone Day Program Coordinator (if applicable) regularly or as requested. Be familiar with the residents' Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and incorporate the curriculum into daily at-home activities.Residents' Medical Appointments and PrescriptionsEnsure the residents receive ongoing medical, dental, and psychiatric visits. Make appointments, arrange for transportation, and document visits. Data should clearly show all past appointments, follow-ups, medication changes, diagnoses, and scheduled future appointments. The Program Manager is responsible for purchasing and refilling residents' prescriptions, keeping a record of centrally stored medications, and checking medication records daily. This requires familiarity with the purposes and side effects of medications taken by the residents.Quarterly ReportsSupervise the daily collection of client behavioral data, and ensure that records are kept for the residents' programs, including Cornerstone Individual Day Programs (if applicable). Tabulate behavioral, task analysis, and programmatic data; summarize the residents' progress and submit quarterly reports for review to the Clinical Director. Meet with the Clinical Director and the Regional Center case workers annually, or more often as required, to discuss residents' ISPs.Maintenance of the Facility, Grounds, and VanMaintain the good appearance and cleanliness of the facility, yard, and assigned van. Operate the program within budgetary limits for food, petty cash, and the residents' Personal and Incidental (P&I) accounts. Supervise or prepare weekly menus, shop as necessary, and maintain household and hygiene supplies. Follow procedures for home and vehicle repairs, purchases, and expenditures.SupervisionThe Program Manager supervises and trains all Direct Support Professionals at the facility, including the Assistant Program Manager. This includes conducting staff performance evaluations. The Program Operations Manager is the direct supervisor of the Program Manager.Job Requirements Attend monthly clinical and staff meetings; Cornerstone in-service training is required. Attending monthly day program meetings is also required if the facility includes resident(s) with a Cornerstone Individual Day Program.Compliance with continuing education requirements for maintaining an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Administrator's license.Knowledge of Title 17 Regional Center and Title 22 Community Care Licensing regulations. As a mandated abuse reporter, the Program Manager must have the ability to recognize the evident and suspected signs of abuse and is responsible for understanding and following abuse reporting policies and procedures.Ability to respond during emergencies or crises.Administrator over two homes maximum, 20 hours/week minimum per home.Qualifications Prerequisites: Must be at least age 21 and comply with Community Care Licensing personnel.Requirements: have a criminal record clearance, evidence of good health (physical), and a negative TB test.Minimum of three years of direct care and supervision experience in residential programs for the developmentally disabled.Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Year 1 and Year 2 certification.Able to complete the 35-hour training course required for obtaining an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Administrator's License.Good written and verbal communication skills.In addition, a clean driving record, with insurance company approval to operate the agency vehicles, is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
