Department Summary The Department of Internal Medicine's academic goal is to provide primary teaching strategies and problem-based learning solutions for students, residents and fellows. Internal Medicine provides both classroom and clinical based experiences covering both inpatient and ambulatory care. Our goal is to prepare students, residents and fellows to assume roles as clinical practitioners, academic leaders and community advocates in all aspects of primary and subspecialty care. Position Overview The Program Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of a project at the direction of the Lead Investigator or Program Director. This may include planning, implementation and oversight of a budget. This position is also responsible for coordinating and developing programs and projects that align with the mission of the department and are in compliance with University guidelines and regulations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Thorough knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to area of assignment. Preferred Qualifications - N/A Required License/Registration/Certifications - None Job Duties: •Plan, manage and organize the facilitation of daily operations of a program both internally and externally to accomplish project milestones. •Collaborate and meet with service partners to create, implement, monitor, and document effective implementation of programs. •Coordinate communication and collaborative relationships among staff, faculty and organizations providing programs for participants. •Track program activities and gather and analyze evaluation data to ensure compliance with program grant requirements, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for related to projects/programs. •With Administrative personnel, coordinate the processing of contracts or other program related materials, and assist with processing electronic payroll action requests to ensure expenses are correctly billed. •Maintain the filing system for programmatic documentation. •Coordinate review sessions and recruitment and marketing initiatives. •Maintain compliance with sponsors and UNTHSC policies and procedures.
