Come join a workforce where we put you first! SUMMARY: The Program Manager will deliver all projects on time, within budget and within scope. The PM will drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships. Program Manager serves as the main point of contact for the contracting customer (internal and/or external) and must coordinate cross-functional internal resources, third party/vendors and involve all relevant stakeholders to successfully execute the program. The responsibilities may extend throughout the entire product or program lifecycle. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
- Facilitate the implementation of program management processes at all levels of the business.
- Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating program reviews, preparing & publishing metrics and reports.
- Define program objectives and strategies, to include objectives consistent with customer and contract requirements.
- Review and evaluate technical and business aspects of customer requests for proposals and / or change requests including technical feasibility and requirements flow down and analyses.
- Lead the preparation of customer bid packages and internal project appropriation requests including coordination and review of statement of work, technical proposals, engineering cost estimates, and program schedules.
- Create, monitor, and update program plans in sufficient detail to monitor and track progress and that which is consistent with program requirements and objectives. The plans must define the required processes / activities of various functional groups to achieve customer defined milestones / deliverables.
- Ensure proper performance of tasks (timely start and completion) necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the program and assure fulfillment of cost, quality, and schedule objectives. Identify, track, manage and assist in resolving program issues.
- Conduct regular program reviews with stakeholders (core team, leadership and customers) to evaluate current and projected progress against the approved plan using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Monitor and proactively manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Ensure changes in scope are thoroughly documented and approved prior to investing company resources.
- Coordinate sufficient in-house product reviews with various functional groups to ensure product designs are manufacturable, achieving design to cost targets and the overall program is achieving planned profitability while the satisfying customer contract.
- Lead contract negotiations for the program to assure contract terms and conditions are clearly defined, understood, and acceptable.
- Manage customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization.
- Establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer.
- Develop contract negotiation strategies.
- Ensure effective change management process is utilized.
- Provide periodic program updates (Program Status Report - Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule), updates to the business units as well as to divisional and group levels.
- Play a key role in developing new business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
- Monitor and administer contracts and agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience Years: 4-7 years
- Experience Type: Project management/development/execution in technology environment
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems into actionable elements
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Web proficiency.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT) environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
- Strong ethics, values and the ability to influence others' decision making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/activities; results driven; self-starter and good decision-making skills
- Knowledge of product and manufacturing process
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to management and customer
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - BSEE preferred
- Formal training in program or project management such as demonstrated by PMP or DAWIA Program Management credentials
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
- Security Clearance
- Strong background in electronics manufacturing
