They will utilize a case management approach to support AA/AS students throughout their academic journey, promote student success, and support the mission and values of the College. The program manager will collaborate and communicate with faculty, staff, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure students receive comprehensive support to achieve their educational goals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Provide individualized guidance and support, or case management, to AA and AS students, addressing academic, personal, and administrative needs. Monitor student progress and intervene as necessary to facilitate timely completion of program requirements* Mentors students, tracks progress, and connects students to support services as needed* Collaborates with Enrollment Management on program admission and enrollment activities for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences* Supports the development of strategic offerings/initiatives, related policies and procedures, recruitment strategies and program promotion in collaboration with college and community stakeholders* Compile and analyze data related to student outcomes, program enrollment, and retention rates. Prepare reports for institutional stakeholders and use data insights to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness* Develops and maintains effective communication with prospective applicants, students, graduates, faculty, program alumni and community* Coordinates with Associate Deans, counseling, and other offices to facilitate conversations around course substitutions, waivers, and other enrollment matters to support students* In conjunction with Integrated Communications, develops and maintains website and resources for students in the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science programs* Collaborates with Access, Learning & Success (AL&S), Enrollment Management, Tutoring Services, Learning Commons, Integrated Communications, Faculty Development and Online Learning & Academic Technology (OLAT) to provide services in support of student learning and engagement* Works collaboratively to establish the vision and goals for the student support in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences* Collaborates with Associate Deans and faculty to oversee and manage the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree tracks within the School of Liberal Arts and Science* Collaborates with faculty and deans collegewide to ensure effective course offerings and schedule* Functionally supervises and assesses the performance of assigned staff* Oversees program effectiveness and student satisfaction using an assessment plan and assists with program review* Performs other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING* Bachelor's degree* Significant related experience may substitute for education* Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in higher education and/or academic program management.* Commitment to student-centered practices and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.* Demonstrated experience leading and guiding the work of others* Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department* Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing, and monitoring a business area's budget* Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem-solving methods in adaptive situations.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES* Knowledge of curriculum development, academic policies, and higher education regulations.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and staff.* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using student information systems and other relevant software.* Demonstrated understanding of current transfer and industry ideas, trends, practices, and workforce needs.* Possess working knowledge of online learning programs, concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus* Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.* Demonstrated awareness and expertise in the latest pedagogical and technological practices in online and digital learning.* Ability to independently set goals and determine best course of action to achieve desired results.* Ability to make data-driven decisions.* Demonstrated advanced project management skills.* Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.* Possess strong organizational, time-management skills, and is results-oriented.* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility and teamwork.* Ability to handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity confidentially and discreetly.* Ability to collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts.* Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance workflow and quality.* Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population.COMPETENCIESCRITICAL COMPETENCIES* Adaptability* Communication* CollaborationVERY IMPORTANT COMPETENCIES* Continuous Improvement* Service FocusIMPORTANT COMPETENCIES* Time Utilization* Quality of WorkPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING* Master's Degree* Experience working with Blackboard and Brightspace D2L (LMS) and Banner (SIS)* Experience working in a community collegePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS(The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
