Job Description Nemours is seeking a Program Manager for the Office of Faculty Development! This position will be a hybrid (telecommute and in-person) and support Nemours locations. The position can reside in either location - Wilmington, Delaware, Jacksonville, Florida or Orlando, Florida. The primary function of the Office of Faculty Development Program Manager is to manage the staff and programs within the Office of Faculty Development. The Manager will work independently to oversee and administer activities of the office as well as related activities needed to integrate Office of Faculty Development across Nemours sites and divisions. The manager will support the advancement and development of Nemours medical faculty in collaboration with the faculty liaisons, Director of the Office of Faculty Development and Director, Education Programs. The Manager will perform qualitative and quantitative assessments to implement continuous improvement initiatives to assure the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of programs and events. Job functions will involve working with physician staff and leadership across Nemours sites on a daily basis. Duties include initiation, coordination, and management of day to day professional development activities; providing leadership for Office of Faculty Development support services both within Nemours and with our academic partners; guiding web-based and in-person curricula, resources, & educational programs; evaluating program performance; filing reports required by federal, state, local, and institutional agencies; planning and executing meetings; developing online or onsite professional development events; assuring adherence with budgetary and financial standards. Essential functions include:
- Manage Office of Faculty Development activities including operations, budget, staff oversight, overall program assessment evaluation and development of curricula/programs.
- Manage and oversee projects/programs from the idea phase to implementation.
- Conduct needs assessments of the Nemours faculty and develop programs and educational opportunities to address identified needs.
- Deploy and oversee necessary data tracking and reporting.
- Ensure that medical faculty are aware of all Nemours resources available to aid in their professional development.
- Manage Office of Faculty Development networking, collaborating, and orientation events for new physician and faculty hires including outreach, open houses, participation in huddles, and other programs as needed.
- Work with Office of Faculty Development staff to maintain and update annual goals and share successes.
- Integrate work of the Office of Faculty Development with other Nemours entities engaged in professional development and academic advancement (e.g., Talent Development, Learning Services, Library, UME/GME/CME Education, etc.) and identify collaborations and synergies to support faculty at Nemours.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree required
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Candidates must have previous experience with project management and staff supervision
