Job Description:

The Operations Program Manager will oversee the operational duties of a multi-year grant designed to shrink health disparities in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV). This is a 12-month grant funded position, with a possible extension until 11/30/2025 or beyond, dependent on funding. We require all employees to comply with our Mandatory Vaccination Policy. As a condition of employment individuals will be asked to provide proof of compliance. Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and manage programming supporting health interventions for vulnerable populations in the San Gabriel Valley •
    • Provide in-the-field management of a team of 10+ coordinators and public health fellows •
    • Work closely with the Outreach Coordinator for planning day-to-day plan and activities, as well as coordinating outreach events •
    • Train new employees on proper field work practices •
    • Engage in door-to-door outreach in SGV with team •
    • Plan, organize and host community events that help bring awareness and shrink health disparities for at-risk communities •
    • Serve as liaison to Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, community partners, and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHCs) partners •
    • Create and foster new partnerships with other CBOs, government agencies, etc. •
    • Assist with the administration, reporting, and budgetary obligations associated with the program •
    • Ensure program is in compliance, adhering to all program guidelines, policies, protocols and workflows •
    • Updates and shares community resources with program staff •
    • Work closely with the Administrative Program Manager and Data Manager to track and monitor program data and deliverables •Other duties as assigned
Scope and Travel:
    • Travel to and from CORE's Los Angeles Headquarters (Chinatown) and to and from the San Gabriel Valley (Cities of Rosemead, El Monte, South El Monte)
Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Data Science or a relevant field (Master's or higher preferred)
Experience:
    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in non-profit management, with emphasis on public health-related programming •
    • Demonstrated experience working families from diverse age, cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds •
    • Significant management skills, as well as demonstrated experience in report writing, budget management •
    • Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing, and maintaining partnerships with private, nonprofit, and government entities
Skills and Competencies:
    • High EQ, with demonstrated experience in managing culturally diverse teams and personalities •
    • Demonstrated experience in collecting, managing, and synthesizing data for internal and external audiences •
    • Excellent organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills •
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team •
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, ArcGIS, and relevant data management software •
    • Ability to work closely with team members, supporting HR needs of staff, as well other programmatic obligations •
    • Work proactively with little supervision •
    • Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environment •
    • Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy •
    • Preferred: Written and verbal fluency in English, as well as Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), and/or Vietnamese (Candidates will undergo basic language testing during the interview process.)
$75,087 - $75,087 a year In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
