We are looking for a Full-Time Program Manager, Research, to join the UTHealth School of Public Health in Austin, TX. This position will report to the PI for MIECHV Coordinated State Evaluation, Texas Safe Babies, and the Preschool Development Grant Evaluation programs. In this position, you will oversee and assist with the research and evaluation activities. These activities will include developing interview guides, conducting and analyzing interviews, developing and monitoring statewide surveys, and assisting with report and manuscript preparation. This position offers a hybrid (in-office/ remote) schedule.

Position Summary:
Works with the Principal Investigator and study team on several state-funded projects focused on the early childhood period. This position will report to the PI for MIECHV Coordinated State Evaluation, Texas Safe Babies, and the Preschool Development Grant Evaluation. These evaluations are multi-project and include collaborators and stakeholders from different universities and state agencies. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the state agencies that serve the maternal and child health populations or will have experience working in or with an agency that serves young families (such as those that provide ECI, home visiting, pediatric, or other family support, and care services).
Position Key Accountabilities:
* Performs duties that advance the research agenda for multiple concurrent projects including conducting interviews, collecting and analyzing data, and discussing results.
* Works with the PI to advance the team's research by providing timely updates on research and evaluation progress, identifying barriers and solutions, discussing trends and results, and proposing next steps to the research
* Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors the progress of projects, and provides supervision and guidance to research personnel including graduate research associates.
* Develops and monitors IRB documents and protocols, data requests to state agencies, and deliverables
* Participates in research activities such as team meetings, communication to external partners and organizations, report generation, etc.
* Informs the PI of progress on key activities.
* Assists in grant proposals to both private foundations and governmental agencies.
* May conduct or supervise training related to research for internal, hospital, and community groups.
* Communicates with community and professionals to share objectives and outcomes. Prepares/makes oral presentations at community and professional meetings.
* Stays abreast of new and updated protocols for research projects.
* Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:
* Depending on research may require advanced level grant writing skills.
* Depending on research may require Registered Nurse within the State of Texas.
* Depending on research may require Clinical Research Coordinator certification.
* May require program specific certifications.
Minimum Education:
* Bachelor's degree in science or a health administration related field.
Minimum Experience:
* Five years of applicable experience.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
* Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
