We seek employees who are passionate about serving and making a difference in the lives of others.POSITION SUMMARYThe Thriving Families Program Manager (TFPM) is responsible for management and supervision of UBH Thriving Families Stabilization Team. The goal of the stabilization function is to identify and provide access to support systems that help families stay in their homes and not return to homelessness. Through quality case management and employment services, Thriving Families increases participants' access to essential services and resources, to ensure stability, community engagement, and family well-being.The position works in conjunction with other UBH permanent housing programs, such as Housing For Health, Rapid Rehousing, and Family Reunification programs. The TF program provides Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) to homeless families in addition to economic empowerment and advocacy. The program aims to improve and stabilize families in all domains including health, housing, employment, education and family wellness. Additionally, the team ensures that families have access and receive entitlement benefits and access any mainstream resources as indicated and necessary.The Program Manager position trains and supervises program staff, monitors contracted outcomes, oversees program budgets, supports the team to meet performance and professional development goals, maintains positive partner relationships, and serves as a strong leader. This position provides support plans that include a variety of services addressing the needs of homeless families. Example plans include affordable housing options and connections to other services such as health care, child care, employment support, financial literacy, educational opportunities, legal support, nutrition, and youth programs such as after-school academic support, field trips, and art projects. The TFPM position will also support UBH in community relations and building partnerships to further promote the Mission of UBH.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAdministration

  • Manage and supervise staff on a regular day-to-day basis, making sure staff adhere to the minimum practice standards such as; Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Racial Equity and Cultural Competency; and System Collaboration.

Program Management
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching, developing, guidance and direct supervision of program
  • Provide oversight to the Stabilization programs to ensure that services are being completed and conducted in accordance with best practices and program contracts, including field-based case management (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, etc.).
  • Oversee service delivery and develop quality control to maintain the highest standard of
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of program activities; including rental payments & delivery, client enrollments, individualized housing stability plans, coordinate stabilization services; to include linkages and referrals to appropriate service
  • Coordinate and collaborate with program partners to increase support networks for referral and linkage with program participants.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding process for TF program staff, including interviewing, training, coaching, and developing TF program staff.
  • Engage in regular weekly staff development, training, and case conferencing, solution focused case management, and coordination with program funders.
  • Consult with TF staff as needed and provide guidance and supervision for crisis intervention, problem solving techniques, and feedback to address challenging issues participants are facing; provide field based supervision and support on a consistent basis. Monitor TF staff compliance with all regulatory and ethical requirements.
  • Manage relationships with landlords and property management companies that partner with UBH. This includes participating in phone conferences, regular case reviews, and attending regular meetings with all parties for collaboration, prevention planning, and housing stability maintenance.
  • Ensure that staff address the many aspects of the needs that homeless families face; affordable housing, access to energy assistance, and connections to other services such as health care, child care, employment, education, and nutritious food through provision on regular home-based case management services.
  • Manage transportation activities of participants and staff. This includes managing the disbursement of bus tokens, accumulation of token logs and coordination of agency car scheduling/use.
  • Review and monitor staff recordkeeping and other documentation of client engagements to ensure that these are complete and accurate.
  • Provide job counseling or disciplinary action to staff, as needed to elicit professional, efficient, and ethical job performance, in all areas.
  • Make recommendations for staff advancement, wage adjustments, and employment separation.
  • Work together with the Program Director and Data and QA Manager to ensure services are tracked efficiently, consistent data collection within HMIS, CHAMP and other databases (if applicable) is maintained, conduct on-going program file reviews, and any other monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting as contractually required.
  • Generate and analyze program monthly reports to identify trends and make recommendations for program
  • Collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to improve and enrich UBH programs and participate in agency and community meetings.

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to hire direct report staff, provide feedback and evaluation on a regular
  • Identify staff development needs and Work closely with the team to bring in training opportunities and identify areas for professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a social work or science or related field or comparable work experience - 5 years of progressive experience developing, implementing and monitoring programs for homeless families. Master's Degree and License strongly preferred.
  • Three years of management experience including responsibility developing program policies; long and short-term goals; program evaluation; and budget preparation.
  • A minimum of 5-years' experience in the social service filed working with housing resources for homeless
  • Proven managerial experience leading a diverse team, to include mentoring, training, coaching, and communication with staff and external
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to develop team performance and a genuine desire to coach and
  • Ability to synthesize information and knowledge in order to problem-solve and achieve creative solutions and drive
  • Work closely with the Los Angeles County Coordinated Entry System (CES) network to ensure that resources are efficiently and equitably distributed to support people experiencing
  • Must have strong professional experience working with community/partner agencies, including ability to network and build relationships and locate and develop housing contacts.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally-diverse persons and communities with the cultural humility and
