Working under the supervision of the Faculty Director of the Masters in Learning Analytics and the Executive Director of Administration, this new program manager will manage all non-academic functions within the program, with an opportunity to teach up to three courses. In collaboration with the faculty and the GSE admissions office, manage recruitment and admissions to program.Additional Responsibilities Include:Coordinate orientation with the Student Affairs Office.Serve as a primary contact and advisor for program students where appropriate.Attend relevant meetings and represent the program's perspective to various GSE administrative centers.Manage financial aid allocation and small operating budget.Ensure that required and elective courses are appropriately rostered and staffed.Manage one administrative assistant, graduate assistants, and teaching assistants.Oversee course production and refreshing, and course execution.Collaborate with colleagues in similar positions for other programs, helping to improve schoolwide work processes.Must be able to virtually attend some evening and/or early morning classes and meetings and strategically contribute to the overall development of the program, in collaboration with the Faculty Director, faculty, and staff.QualificationsA Masters Degree and 2-5 years of experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Doctoral degree is preferred.Additional required qualifications include:Ability to teach courses in Learning Analytics is required; past experience teaching Learning Analytics courses or related courses at master's level is preferred.Excellent organizational ability and an eye for detail, with evidence from prior work.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, write clearly and professionally, represent faculty at recruitment activities, interact effectively with diverse actors, encourage multiple perspectives, and support faculty with tact, confidentiality, and judgment.Must be collaborative, flexible, and work productively with diverse groups and individuals representing a broad range of constituents (e.g. students, faculty, staff, executives, mentors, industrial partners).Ability to foster a productive and positive working environment among faculty and staff.Ability to use standard tools for Learning Analytics.Preferred qualifications include:Past experience with online teaching or creation of online learning resources.Management experience is desired.Willingness to learn and develop new skills is highly desired.Applicants must submit a cover letter.Penn GSE actively seeks and welcomes applications from people of color, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, persons with disabilities, and people at intersections of these identities.Targeted Pay Range: $70,000- $80,000This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting.
