Job Description:

Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding part-time job? We are looking for an experienced Program Monitor for our Supervised Parenting Program! The Program Monitor will be responsible for providing direct supervision of parents and children during court -ordered supervised parenting visits and exchanges. The Program Monitor will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, providing support and guidance to parents, and documenting visits and interactions. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to remain calm and professional in potentially stressful situations. This individual needs to be able to work 2 weekday evening shifts a week and 2 Saturdays' a month, unless working a Friday evening then Saturday is not required.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Observe and monitor supervised parenting sessions
  • Observe and monitor supervised exchanges
  • Facilitate Familiarization Visits, Orientations and Intakes with parents and children.
  • Facilitate positive interactions between parents and their children in a safe, supervised setting that respects the rights and responsibilities of all parties.
  • Discuss concerns or issues with parents both in person and over the phone.
  • Provide referrals to necessary services, simple scheduling, answering phones.
  • Utilizes the Guiding Principles to facilitate safe visits.
  • Basic Data collection and entry including compliance with funders
  • Proper documentation of the case files
  • Adherence to both State and Federal grant policies and procedures
  • Basic organization & cleaning of toys, visit rooms, snack table.
  • Adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
  • Work the entire scheduled shift regardless of cancellations.
  • Attend Monthly and/or quarterly Staff Meetings and supervision.
  • Attend training and professional development as required
  • Regular review of Policy and Procedure Manuals

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Experience with parenting and supervisory programs
  • Experience with domestic violence
  • Sound judgment in stressful situations
  • Able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must work 2 weekday shifts a week and 2 Saturdays a month
  • Satisfactory background check, including three supervisory references, Criminal Record, Abuse/Neglect Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete manual tasks involving dexterity to enter and retrieve data using computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment. Ability to walk, stand, sit for short or long periods of time in an office setting. In certain situations, may be required to work within changing physical environments due to support of child/family's needs.
  • Ability to lift and transport materials/supplies up to 25 lbs. for internal documentation and recordkeeping, court support, and other administrative tasks.
