- Coordinate and conduct training and technical assistance for staff at partner organizations.
- Create and facilitate online and in person trainings using interactive video conferencing and presentations to inform field and HQ staff of the most recent standards and policies and procedures regarding residential care for UC.
- Conduct desk and site monitoring for all LTFC, shelter, and TFC programs including reviewing case physical files and personnel files, conducting individual interviews with program staff, accompanying case managers on visits to foster care homes, and inspecting residential programs for compliance with all ORR policies and procedures.
- Evaluating the data collected during monitoring and writing reports to detail the outcomes of the monitoring visits.
- Requesting corrective action plans from sites as necessary.
- In consultation with AD for Quality Assurance, recommending additional training for program sites if needed.
- Compiling quarterly statistical reports to submit to ORR.
- Assist with writing proposals for existing and new programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Social Work or other behavioral science with at least three years of professional work experience highly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as a bachelor's degree in a related field with at least five years of experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience with progressive roles and responsibilities in program management, program development, and/or quality assurance methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child welfare systems, principles, and practices is required. Experience with federally funded unaccompanied children's services programming preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently to establish priorities and exercise sound judgment in response to systems that are highly complex, sensitive, and confidential.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage collaborative partnerships across various systems.
- Demonstrated experience in providing training and technical assistance to internal staff and external partners.
- Experience and knowledge of legal and political issues related to immigration and child welfare.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of various systems.
- Experience with and commitment to working in a cross-cultural or diverse workforce.Deep commitment to Global Refuge' core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
Special Position Requirements
- Spanish language ability strongly preferred
- Up to 50% travel required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to pass an FBI background check as well as a CA/N check for every state resided in for the last five years
