Job Description:
PROGRAM SPECIALISTProgram Specialists are the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees when they reach out to our offices for support and services. Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills are essential for this role, as well as a professional and friendly demeanor. A program specialist ensures a smooth and welcoming front office environment, in addition to the responsibilities below:
  • Complete intake questionnaire with incoming families
  • Obtain member insurance cards
  • Adhere to insurance regulations
  • Track received and outstanding reports from evaluators
  • Send weekly schedules to evaluators
  • Scheduling psychological evaluations
  • Working in tandem with case management
  • Follow-up check-in calls to consumers in queue
  • Weekly MA checks for client eligibility of services
  • Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
  • Working in tandem with Case Management regarding scheduling needs
  • Working in tandem with Center Management regarding office-based needs
Clerical Tasks (not limited to):
  • Faxing
  • Copying
  • Scanning
  • Filing
  • Printing
  • Reception
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years customer service experience (preferred, but not required), preferably in human services, possess demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors highly preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Program Specialist must have appropriate background checks, transcripts of their degree, and clearances to work in direct contact with children and adolescents (ACT 33, 34 and FBI clearances) and be able to participate in Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Valid driver's license is required as well as willingness to travel as needed.
