An array of services supports families from cradle to college to alleviate societal challenges that can interrupt a child, adolescent or young adults' abilities to thrive and maximize their potential.Children's Aid offers a continuum of short -term interventions of varying levels of intensity, in five boroughs. The prevention services continuum consists of Family Support, therapeutic and Family Assessment Program (FAP) program services as well as the Safe Way Forward Program for families impacted by Domestic Violence. Our prevention service interventions are charged with the responsibility to avert current, future or repeat involvement child welfare or juvenile justice systems.**SWF****(A Safeway Forward)**is a therapeutic program in our Prevention continuum of services. It is a home-based intensive model for families in the Bronx where Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) has put the family at risk of having their children placed outside the home. The model works with both the person causing harm and the survivor and provides both child-welfare prevention services and clinical therapeutic intervention services to all members of the family, using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, to help families establish long-term safety and heal from the trauma of emotional and physical abuse.**Position Summary:** The Program Supervisor will provide direct supervision to a team of four case planners working to provide an array of comprehensive trauma-informed, client-centered, and anti-oppressive services to child welfare involved survivors of intimate partner violence, their children, and child welfare involved parents who have caused harm in their relationship and to their children. The Program Supervisor will report to the Program Director.**Essential Duties:**General responsibilities**in the role of “administrative****supervisor”**will be to:* Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.* Provide accountability, child welfare and administrative supervision for 4 therapeutic case planners.* ProvideAccountability Oversightto ensure that therapeutic case planners comply with OCFS and ACS accountability mandates, including;* Screen and Assign all new referrals within 5 days* timely registering of cases in PROMIS and Connections* timely completion, review and approval of FASPs, Plan Amendments and Progress notes* Accurate assignment of appropriate Program Choice and PPG* timely approval of case closings* ensure therapeutic case planners enter contacts in the PROMIS and connections system in a timely manner* ensure that all families and children are seen at least every month* Work with the Program Director to ensure that utilization meets the performance-based funding requirement of at or above 90%* ProvideChild Welfare Supervisionto therapeutic case planners in order to ensure that all children are safe and free of immediate or impending danger or serious harm.* provide weekly supervision to all therapeutic case planners consistent with ACS Supervisory Standards* discuss every case weekly and review all case records monthly consistent with ACS Supervisory Standards* document case discussions and case record reviews monthly in Supervisory Reviews for each case* ensure that all required assessments are conducted in the first month of case and 3 months thereafter* collaborate with all departments of ACS including FAP, DCP, OPTA, OPPP, or APA, etc., as needed to ensure the safety needs of children are being addressed* ensure compliance will all other ACS Preventive Standards, policies and procedures related to CSEC, Safe Sleep, Domestic Violence, etc.* Participate in all FTC's as prescribed by ACS* ProvideAdministrative Oversightto ensure therapeutic case planners complies with all agency policies and procedures, including;* ensure that staff comply with agency conditions of employment related to attendance, hours of WorkForce 1, and use of sick, personal, vacation time, etc.* ensure that all staff meet performance standards and comply with agency standards of behavior and code of conduct* complete performance evaluations and address performance issues in a timely and progressive manner* ensure that staff receives trainings as required by agency, ACS and program* **Completes all other tasks as assigned related to role of administrative supervisor. **General responsibilities**in the role of a SWF Program Supervisor**includes, but are not limited to:** *** Conduct weekly group supervision with therapeutic case planner assigned to the team to assure continuity of care.* Assure appropriate documentation of clinical effort in all cases.* Support training/professional development of therapeutic case planner practice skills in accordance with client-centered, trauma-informed treatment modalities and evidence-based/informed treatment models for individual, group, and dyadic therapeutic interventions, and 26-week abuse intervention/accountability program curriculums;* Collaborate with Assistant Director to prepare statistical reports in collaboration with the CQI Director, including but not limited to: utilization, case records, supervisory documentation, staff evaluations, and other data as required* Provide supportive and corrective feedback to therapeutic case planners to promote client outcomes through interventions such as enacting role play and practice, attending field visits with therapeutic case planners, acting as co-therapist in sessions.* Assure availability of clinical and case management support to therapeutic case planners 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.* Assure that therapeutic case planners achieve engagement with all key participants.* Provide direct and coaching to assure therapeutic case planner competency in all areas relating to IPV.* Assure that all assessments are comprehensive* Build a relationship with community stakeholders (i.e., child protection services, Guardians ad Litem, judges, schools, etc.) to ensure that there is a continuous stream of referrals and that customer satisfaction is high.* Be available by phone 24/7 or as needed to respond to client crises. This includes ability to conduct sessions on weekends as needed, to accommodate client availability* Ability to work flexible hour, including working remotely in the field, community or various CA offices to meet the needs of families and improve efficiency and management of time and resources* Responsible for hiring staff and managing team turnover* **Completes all other tasks as assigned related to role of SWF supervisor****Minimum Qualifications:**** *** Master's degree in social work, mental health, or other related field**required**; license or LCSW preferred.**Key Competencies:*** Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred* Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience required, clinical counseling experience in mental health, victim services, and/or social service fields**strongly recommended**.* Bilingual in Spanish/English**preferred**.***** Prior experience providing prevention and intervention services to underserved families affected by intimate partner violence using a trauma-informed, client-centered, anti-oppressive approach preferred.* Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practice as well as family systems, relational and attachment theories and framework.* Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, relate to families in crisis, and at risk of child placement due to neglect/abuse.* Work experience in community- and neighborhood-based programs.* Knowledge of the ACS CONNECTIONS and PROMIS systems.* Ability to work evenings/week as needed and maintain a flexible work schedule.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Excellent organizational and management skills.** **It is the policy of Children's Aid to provide equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment and is dedicated to maintaining a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination.
