Summary The My HealtheVet (MHV) Coordinator serves as facility champion, leads facility teams to support existing and future Veteran communication initiatives, and coordinates local implementation, training, communications, outreach, web health content and support efforts. The Assistant to the MHV Coordinator assumes these responsibilities in the absence of the MHV Coordinator, and supports MHV in all endeavors and job duties. Responsibilities Duties consist of the following, but are not limited to: Establishes, develops, and implements, at the direction or in conjunction with the MHV Coordinator, local MHV-related goals, strategies to meet goals, identifies responsible parties, tracks progress, including monitoring goals/activity status, and assists in the development of reports status/progress to medical center management. Assists in establishing and managing communications plans that identify target audiences, appropriate messages, activities, and resources needed for effective communication, develops effective communications plans for change management, and incorporates multiple channels to manage expectations and disseminate project progress. Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance documentation of MHV internal and control policies and procedures. Collects, develops, implements, and documents data to assist management with MHV operational decisions. Assists the MHV Coordinator to lead the facility's efforts to integrate MHV and SM among healthcare providers and patients. Ensures providers are trained in SM use and related workload capture, to include initial orientation to these tools as well as ongoing education related to improvements in technology and processes. Serve, in the absence of the MHV Coordinator, as SM liaison and administrator to VISN and National MHV teams. Applies the training plans and designs and performs needs assessments. Assists the MHV Coordinator in working with senior functional subject matter experts to identify and manage significant changes in the way employees will integrate My HealtheVet in the fabric of VA care. Evaluates the impact on clinical and business workflow and processes. Engages clinical, business, and operational staff through analysis and recommendations. Evaluates and makes recommendations for effective facility changes. Assists the MHV Coordinator in developing and delivering presentations to all levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, and Veterans, family members and caregivers. Presentations are designed to inform the audience about the MHV program, products, and capabilities. Utilizes interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with Veterans at all levels of knowledge and technological abilities. Assist with extraction and analysis of measures related to staff workload and distribution of work, with close surveillance of staffing patterns and manpower utilization. Assists with forecasts and estimating program requirements and with preparation of programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc. for Section, Service, and facility leadership and other customers or stakeholders.
