Summary This position is located at the Kernersville Heath Care Clinic (HCC) as part of the Salisbury VA Medical Center and is organizationally aligned under Prosthetics & Sensory Aids Service (PSAS). The position supports the administration section in the overall operations, policy development and resource planning for the management of PSA Programs, and provides sustenance service to the Inventory, Orthotic & Prosthetic Laboratory, & Procurement Sections. Responsibilities Issues stock items and updates electronic package in VISTA Manages clothing allowance program by receiving requests and assists with unique clothing needs Works closely with the VBA to assess the eligibility and reimbursement of damaged clothing Manages the Automobile Adaptive Equipment (AAE) program Manages the process of the Home Improvements & Structural Alterations (HISA) grant applications Develops and maintains information concerning encounters, medical record completion, scheduling & collaborates with Health and Business Administration (HAS) Assists with preparing Prosthetics budget projections Records and Organizes documents relating to expenditures Orders office supplies and learning materials through local budget Responsible for collecting, compiling, & tracking statistical data in support of program operations Performs various tasks using computer hardware & software (e.g., web searched, MS Office, VISTA) Assists in filing program files and personnel files Works closely with Patient Advocates, Experience Officers, and PSAS Leadership to resolve patient complaints & enhance public relations Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 0800am - 0430pm. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
