Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Office of the Corps Chiefs (M00C) of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY. Responsibilities You will be the subject matter expert for all administrative support programs assigned to the Corps Chiefs Office for programs under Deputy Surgeon General/Surgeon General. You will perform program/project planning and technically coordinates the consolidation and implementation of approved plans. You will be responsible for process development and improvement of programs. You will perform independent studies on the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs, interpret and implement changes to organizational wide policies as new higher echelon guidance and policy is released. You will monitor, review, and analyze program implementation, make decisions and independently recommend program adjustments to meet changing situations as well as to accommodate changes directed by higher authority. You will apply written and oral communication skills to assigned responsibilities; prepare fiscal, management, reporting and administrative planning documentation associated with assigned activities. You will serve as the tasker manager that facilitates and provides administrative support for the Corp Chiefs Office and Directorate personnel. You will be responsible for liaising between members of the different Corps, Navy Personnel Command, DHA, or other internal and external agencies to settle matters involving significant or controversial policies. You will serve as the subject matter consultant for all Navy correspondence. You will manage the supplies, supply orders, and assist the supervisor with the associated budgets. You will act as SharePoint administrator, ensuring all sites are well-maintained, and as Defense Travel System (DTS) Departmental Accountable Official ensuring review and approval of travel and assisting staff with completing travel claims. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing a wide variety of qualitative, analytical, management, and administrative duties to facilitate process improvement initiatives; Experience formulating, evaluating, preparing, presenting, and administering all programs in accordance with objectives and policies of an organization; Experience performing program/project planning and technically coordinating the consolidation and implementation of approved plans; Experience performing independent studies on the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and interpreting and implementing changes to organizational wide policies; Experience using travel systems such as Defense Travel System (DTS) and reviewing and completing travel claims; and Experience preparing official correspondence (e.g., memorandums, letters, instructions, directives, etc.) and using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
