SummaryThis position is located at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a staff support specialist providing program support and performing assignments, projects or studies related to the programs and activities surrounding the National Service Delivery Team, NSDT, and Financial Management Resources programs.This job is open to

  • Serves as a team member processing shared workload under the Assistant State Conservationist for Management and Strategy
  • Participates in the preparation and/or revision of agency policies, procedures, and operations to implement the the wide range of goals and objectives of the State
  • Studies administrative reports and records; plans and conducts on-site reviews; identifies administrative items for corrective action; interprets and reviews instructions and data.
  • Provides a wide variety of administrative and technical support services.
  • Assists in a variety of management and analytic tasks.
  • Maintains accurate accounting and analysis of all assigned budget and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Provides state or regional level reports on progress meeting deadlines.
  • Assists higher graded specialist with planning, coordinating, and accomplishing tasks which require skill in analysis and information gathering techniques.

This combination must have equipped you with the necessary knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the duties of this position.
