Timeline: Accepting applications until September 10, 2024Compensation: $20-$30 per hour depending on candidate experience and skillset, negotiableHours: 10 hours per week, spread across 2 or 3 days per week as agreeable by all partiesLocation: at the C-10 office located in Amesbury, MA with potential for hybrid work from home/office after 3 monthsAbout the role: The Programs and Operations Coordinator will lead research and preparation efforts to help the organization achieve its goal of educating and empowering local citizens about emergency preparedness, and personal and environmental health relative to their proximity to the Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant. This position will work primarily in support of the Executive Director and also in support of administrative tasks for the Network Administrator. C-10 is a scientific evidence-led organization, deeply rooted in North Shore, MA and Seacoast, NH communities. Success in this role could be achieved with a positive attitude, an openness to both learn and contribute new ideas, and with courage to speak truth to power.Skills and qualifications:Leadership skillsAdaptabilitySelf-motivationOrganizational skillsClose attention to detail and the ability to plan aheadAdministrative and clerical skillsInterpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communicationDuties and Responsibilities:Preparing documentation for grants (training will be provided)Managing online resourcesManaging the Program events calendarProcessing payments for vendors and suppliersAttending staff meetings and taking minutesResponding to emails and answering callsMaintaining office calendars and sending out reminders of impending appointmentsTyping letters and reports as may be required from time to timeCompiling and sending bulk mailingsProofreading and making copies of documentsAssisting in the planning and overseeing significant eventsAssisting in managing the budget for special and routine eventsActing as a liaison between different groups in the organizationPreferred Professional Experience: Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent 2 years' experience in a related fieldExperience working for a nonprofit organization or small businessExperience in word processing and office programsAbility to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends for eventsAbout C-10: The C-10 mission is to monitor and advocate for the safety of Seabrook Station nuclear power plant in order to protect public health and the environment in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond.
