92NY is looking for a Programs Associate to join the School Engagement in the Arts department, a team dedicated to delivering exceptional arts & humanities education to K-12 students and their teachers at public schools across New York City and beyond. School Engagement connects school communities with leading artists, writers and thought leaders to help students discover their intellectual and artistic passions, identify resources to pursue those passions and shape the future of their world. Programming takes place both in-person-through multi-week, curriculum-based residencies at our partner schools-and through live performance, exhibitions, talks and readings at our historic cultural center. Through our flagship program-the Young Leaders Series-School Engagement has developed a digital-track education offering to expand upon 92NY's mission of connecting students with limited exposure to arts education with exceptional artists and thinkers, and we are now reaching beyond our building's walls and city limits to take our mission to schools both near and far.

Job Responsibilities Include
    In coordination with the Executive Director and Director, design curricula and collaborate with the lead curriculum writers to develop teaching guides.
  • In coordination with the School Engagement team, support with the implementation and design of school-based residencies.
  • Design professional development workshops for School Engagement's cohort of teaching artists and partnering classroom teachers across program areas and arts disciplines.
  • Manage relevant project budgets as they relate to designated programs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand programming within existing school partnerships and recruit new schools to our programs.
  • Support work on teen initiatives, including our Teen Producers internship program for NYC high school students.
  • Coordinate on- and off-site events related to teen programs.
  • Assist in the development of new program evaluation tools to use in assessing program impact.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with peer cultural arts organizations.
  • May be assigned additional related duties as required.
Experience, Education, & Skills DesiredEducational Requirements* Required minimum: Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience working in an arts administration and/or educational setting.* Preferred educational requirements: Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience working in an arts administration and/or educational setting. Experience, Skills and Qualifications* Passionate about the arts and creating warm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments.* Familiarity with a range of art forms, including contemporary literature, music, and dance.* Experience in curriculum design and pedagogical frameworks that support inquiry-based learning and foster conceptual thinking skills.* Understanding of and familiarity with NYC Department of Education and its internal systems.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diplomacy and clarity.* Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with program stakeholders.* Strong time management and prioritization skills.* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.* Highly organized with attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability.

* Proficiency in Spanish desirable.* Skill in using a variety of software applications, including Google Drive, Google Classroom, Microsoft Suite, and Zoom. Experience utilizing Tessitura is desirable.

Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Flexibility is required to attend various programs and events.

This position is currently approved to utilize a hybrid working model which is subject to change in the future.

Compensation Range

$50,000 - $60,000

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
