Department Summary:
As part of MITRE's Software Engineering Innovation Center, we focus on delivering software across MITRE's sites. We leverage our wide geographic footprint and diverse skillsets to work side-by-side with end users and sponsors. Being in the field allows us to better understand our sponsors' needs so we can bring MITRE to bear to deliver exactly what is needed.
Roles & Responsibilities:
L531 is looking to fill a Project & Business Operations role to provide direct support to our projects and sponsors. The selected candidate will partner with Labs and MNS Project Leadership to:
* Create and manage project roadmaps and assist the sponsor and project leadership in ensuring tasking is properly coordinated to meet critical milestones
* Work closely with domain and technical staff to develop resource estimates and manage project budgets and tasking
* Identify and implement improvement to improve project efficiency across people, process, and technology
* Responsible establishing project knowledge management processes
* Create and manage routine briefing materials for sponsor-owned, MITRE-led initiatives
* Responsible for planning, management, and execution of large-scale events which include US Government and Contractor attendees
* Coordinate and participate in interviews with US Government personnel to gather and analyze user data
* Perform knowledge management of analysis and
Basic Qualifications:
* Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
* Active US DoD Secret Clearance
* Have 5+ years experience communicating with senior military and civilian personnel
* Have 5+ years experience organizing in-person meetings, workshops, or planning sessions for DoD customers
* Proficiency in processing of visit requests and general DoD security procedures and best-practices
* Experience working with Microsoft Office Products
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organization and planning skills
* This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
* Have 10+ years experience communicating with senior military and civilian personnel
* Have 10+ years experience organizing in-person meetings, workshops, or planning sessions for DoD customers
* Possess a four-year degree in one or more of the following areas (or similar/equivalent):
* Technology, Social Sciences, Communications, or Business
* Familiarity and Experience with Agile project management
* Familiarity and Experience leading or practicing KanBan or SCRUM for software and non-software projects
* Experience with MITRE RIGOR or other data collection tools
* Proficiency in Knowledge Management
* Active US DoD Top Secret Clearance
