Job Description:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Project Development: Plan and develop small projects or portions of larger projects under the guidance of senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the studio's vision and goals.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between project staff, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of tasks and a cohesive project workflow.
- Design Documentation: Ensure that the project's narrative and design intent are preserved throughout the documentation process, maintaining clarity and consistency in all materials.
- Design Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Designer to develop and refine coherent design concepts that meet client needs and project objectives.
- Scheduling Coordination: Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate project schedules and milestones, ensuring timely progress and delivery.
- Project Delivery: Under the guidance of senior leadership, work with the project team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, adhering to quality standards.
- Documentation Management: Coordinate and document projects through the preparation of contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Technical Contribution: Contribute to the continuous improvement and advancement of the firm by participating in technical discussions and proposing innovative solutions.
- Leadership Development: Demonstrate leadership qualities and take initiative in project tasks, mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Self-Education: Engage in self-training regarding AIA documents and project management best practices to enhance professional knowledge and capabilities.
- Building Code Research: Conduct research and study relevant building codes to increase expertise and ensure compliance in all projects.
- Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Licensure: A licensed architect is HIGHLY preferred; but can work with candidates if you are close to licensure (AIA certification preferred ).
- Education: A professional degree in architecture or a closely related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on project delivery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in REVIT and other relevant design software is essential.
- Location: Must be able to work in-office in Dallas, Texas.
