Job Description

Meucci is seeking an organized, initiative-taker for the role of Operations & Project Assistant Intern. The ideal intern will eventually tranistion into a full-time role. This person should have a strong professional acumen, eager to learn and be excited about STEM education, EdTech and digital development. Top candidates will also possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks.

In addition, the selected intern should be prepared to propose a concept or interest area for a professional development output that they would like to achieve by the end of the internship. Upon approval, Meucci will provide the necessary resources and ongoing mentoring to help achieve the output.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support as directed by senior management in the following areas.

  • Participate in meetings as a record keeper and disseminate talking points
  • Maintain knowledge management systems
  • Draft BD and organizational communications content
  • Manage updates to Meucci professional networking and social media accounts
  • Proof-read and light editing of content for proposals, presentations and other project documents
  • Due diligence research to support business development, projects, strategic planning and other insight needs
  • Document formatting
  • Provide administrative support for trainings, project and events
  • Other administrative and project support duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Recent College graduate, or senior currently pursuing a 4-year degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Document Formatting Skills. Requirement: Candidates must be able to demonstrate intermediate level (at a minimum) formatting skills via a required test.
  • Previous relevant experience
  • Strong technical writing skills. Candidate will be required to take a required writing test.

Work Hours:

  • Part-time between Monday and Friday
  • Flexible schedule.

Salary: Competitive per hour

Working requirement: Onsite Office in Downtown Washington, DC. Dupont Circle and Farragut North Metro Accessible. This is NOT a remote position. Only local candidates will be considered. Please DO NOT respond if you are NOT locally based.
