Job Description:
Non-profit located in Arlington, MA, focused on literacy programs for low-income individuals, seeks Project-based Development Manager to develop and implement a strategy for a fall season business sponsorships campaign, working collaboratively with Founder.Hours/Schedule: Variable. Approximately 10hours per week for 4-5 weeksJob Type: ContractLocation Requirements: RemoteRate: $30-$40/hourJob Description: Reports directly to the Founder of the organization. The Project-based Development Manager will guide the planning and implementation of the organization's first business sponsorship campaign. This campaign will focus on building support within the local business community.Responsibilities:Plan and implement a multi-pronged campaign designed to target prospective local businesses for their financial support.Work with the Founder to develop a target list and tracking system for outreach efforts.Identify any marketing or communications pieces needed to support the campaign (i.e. flyers, newsletters, website updates, etc.). Create or inform the creation of such marketing pieces.Develop new and grow existing relationships with community business partners with an eye towards increasing revenue.Develop goals, timelines, and action plans with the Founder to assess the success of the campaign.Effectively utilize the skills of the organization's Volunteers in support of campaign implementation.Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective sponsors and donors.Qualifications:5+ years of professional experience in a nonprofit organization; demonstrated success in a development function (managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources, including business sponsorships).Strong background in giving and fundraising.Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time.An interest in education and a passion for supporting low-income communities with literacy and career mobility.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships.Strong organizational skills.Flexible and adaptable style; one who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives.Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others.#J-18808-Ljbffr
