We are looking for a Rolling Stock Project Commercial Support Intern. This position will be based at our Sacramento area branch located in California. During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Siemens Commercial Project Management Department where you will learn about key commercial tasks to support the successful execution of Train projects. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced Siemens Commercial Project Managers on Rolling Stock projects across several US states. This includes autonomously working on dedicated work packages in close interaction with the project team and finance teams. The candidate will attend internal project meetings, work with Commercial Project Managers and Project Managers in the US and abroad and support commercial execution of existing projects in the Rolling Stock Passenger Coach business. Specifically, the candidate will support the areas of project cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, and risk management. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems. How does Commercial Project Management department play into the big picture? The Commercial Project Team has a key role in a projects' success by driving project results to support Siemens Mobility, Inc. business targets, managing customer requirements and develop strategies for the project and beyond. What your day-to-day will look like:
- Learn about our standard processes
- Work with project managers, engineers and manufacturing experts to learn about end-to-end project execution phase through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.
- Interface with different areas of the key departments for Rolling Stock project execution and learn about how collaboration drives success
- Gain insight into cost controlling essentials related to activities such as: project management essentials related to financial, scope, schedule, risk, and resource management activities Critical Capabilities :

- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance/Accounting or similar from an accredited college or university
- Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
