About the Role: In the frame of the EPCI contracts execution phase developed as a program, assist the Project Director / Managers and the Project Contract Manager in analyzing and managing the contract terms, and exploring contractual solutions and alternatives in order to minimize and optimize opportunities. Support the projects in ensuring contractual compliance and a consistent contractual strategy. Ensure proper subcontract follow-up on contractual matters. Provide support and/or guidance to other contract team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in EPCI pre-award contract activities in support of the Tendering team, providing lessons learned from projects in execution and reviewing draft contracts.
  • Upon contract award, recover the bid contractual summary, any legal analyses, and other support documentation prepared during the phase.
  • Perform Initial Contract Review and establish a list of main contract critical issues for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Provide the Project Team with proactive and preemptive analysis of contractual obligations.
  • Assist the Project Manager and the Project Contract Manager in identifying and monitoring the main contract risks developing the contract management execution strategy and assure its implementation throughout the project.
  • Ensure external communication procedures are set up by the main contract obligations.
  • Prepare, manage, and file all correspondence during project execution.
  • Ensure timely external and internal reporting as per contract requirements and company standards.
  • Develop change order strategy and project procedures for the change order process.
  • Ensure the change process is properly followed up, including timely identification, evaluation, preparation, negotiation, monitoring of changes, and appropriate claim management actions.
  • Ensure that all project-specific contracts for goods, services, or subcontracts are drafted incorporating relevant contractual obligations and assisting the Project Manager in identifying critical packages (subcontractors and vendors) requiring special monitoring of contract risks.
  • Administer and manage in conjunction with the Project Team all subcontracts/purchase orders pertaining to ongoing offshore EPC projects.
  • Maintain necessary liaison with the project team and other competent Saipem functions, in particular with Financial, Administration, Insurance, Procurement, and Risk Management.
  • Assist with project closeout and provide collection and sharing of lessons learned, feedback, and return of experience of issues/criticalities encountered during project execution.
  • Assist with matters similar or related to the above duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Bachelor's Degree in Law, business equivalent
