General Description of Job: The Project Controls Specialist position is responsible for developing, refining, and maintaining an accurate project control system. Position is responsible for carefully collecting, analyzing, and managing project data for the purposes of budgeting, tracking progress, change control, and forecasting of all project activities. This position collaborates with the Client, Project Manager(s), and other key project team members, including business and corporate resources (Finance, Contract Admin, & HSE) to ensure contract compliance and to reflect accurate project activities through daily, weekly and monthly status reports. This position oversees the invoicing process to ensure the expectations set forth by the operations manager are being met. CCI Industrial Services provides quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies in Alaska and the lower 48 states.   • Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems
  • Supervise, lead, provide guidance, and develop a team of project controls personnel
  • Assist in developing integrated project schedules, and master schedules
  • Assist in developing cost estimates and control budgets and monitor trends and forecasts
  • Develop an earned value cost reporting system which would provide reports on a monthly and quarterly basis including schedule updates, trends, forecasts, estimates to complete, variance identification, opportunities for improvement and risk
  • Review and maintain the company work breakdown structure (WBS) for reporting
  • Develop and maintain policies and systems including a Project Controls Management Plan
  • Assists in assembling change orders
  • Develop and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and skills required:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Construction Management discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in Project Controls roles
  • 10+ years' scheduling experience with Primavera (P6)
  • Experience in all facets of project controls including but not limited to; planning, (EV) cost control, scheduling, estimating, project controls reporting and general knowledge of risk analysis practices
  • Understanding of Projects from concept through to commissioning
  • Experienced in a wide range of project control tools and work processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including skilled use of the latest communication technologies.
  • Ability to proactively manage a team and provide guidance and leadership
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
