Our client is looking for a Junior Construction Project Controller. Ideal Candidates would:
* Manage Project Accounting for both domestic and overseas operations, including tasks such as budget maintenance, monthly contract summaries, data provision to foreign tax experts, processing of employee reimbursements, vendor and subcontractor payment requests, manual checks and wire transfers processing, estimating costs for jobs involving foreign currency, and monthly billing for work performed (time and material billing).
* Establish new jobs, cost codes, and budgets, and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for Operations and/or Estimating as needed.
* Maintain and reconcile Petty Cash accounts and other relevant accounts as necessary.
* Address discrepancies on invoices or reports by collaborating with various departments, project controllers, construction, operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
* Prepare weekly and monthly cash reports, including cash requirements and expectations, reconciliation of previous week's cash transactions versus forecasts, and long-term cash flow analysis.
* Manage weekly check runs by selecting invoices for payment and submitting them to Corporate for processing.
* Provide recommendations to supervisors on cost-effective methods for specific functions.
* Assist with internal and external audit processes.
* Generate special reports and complete other accounting projects as directed by supervisors.
Requirements:
* This role is based onsite in Framingham, MA.
* Bachelor's degree in business/accounting/finance.
* Preferably two or more years of experience in construction accounting or public accounting.
* Knowledge of general construction accounting principles, auditing, payroll, and invoicing.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Security Clearance
