The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing project controls and miscellaneous support to the project management team for multiple infrastructure projects in Tetra Tech's Florida market. In addition, the role will entail performing a variety of general support tasks in support of national operations. Typical project support will include a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects for water, wastewater, stormwater facilities, and facilities design. The role can either be a fulltime or hybrid work arrangement out of the Orlando, Florida office (hybrid work requires being in the office at least three times per week).

Your Role

* Coordinate and assist various project managers and prepare with the creation of projects including project setup, work breakdown structure, project documentation, through client and team coordination

* Partner with project engineers and project managers to track project schedules and budgets.

* Assist project managers in tracking/managing project costs by working with project accountants to ensure project cost/price models (CPMs) have proper representation of rates, overhead, costs, markups, usages, etc.

* Identify and prepare budget changes and potential contract amendments with direction from Project Manager

* Assist with performing risk management on projects identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) that may impact project schedule and budget

* Assist with the management of Request for Information (RFIs) and submittals for projects in construction

* Support project managers in developing invoices for clients, including earned value reporting and project status reporting per client contract requirements

* Develop of PowerPoint presentations for project updates with clients

* Facilitate delivering technical materials for proposals

* Work semi-independently of the Project Engineer/Project Manager to produce drafts for review and completion by Project Manager for the following:

* Project Work Plan

* Change order documentation

* Supporting documentation for quarterly project audits

* Portfolio Risk Analysis:

* Review the overall portfolio of the Project Manager's being supported and work with accounting to ensure that risks are properly accounted for in the unit's reserves

* Assist Project Manager's in providing information for accounting so that any project metrics that may trigger audit activities are properly understood, documented, and accounted for

* Coordinate project review logistics

* National Operations:

* Partner with geography leads across the country for documenting business development (BD) opportunities

* Populate BD opportunities for senior management review

* Develop and refine current workflow using a combination of PowerBI and Excel

Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field. MBA preferred, but not required. Recent college graduates with internship experience encouraged to apply.

* Experience in the architectural, engineering, or similar project-related industry is preferred, but not required.

* Strong knowledge in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerBI.

* Ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

* Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner across all means of communication
