Job Description:

Our client, a leader in industrial gases and petrochemical construction projects, is seeking a Field Project Quantity Surveyor (Civil/Structural) to join their team.? As a Field Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of the Project Controls team supporting construction and project management efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Sorrento, TX

**Pay Range:** $45-$50/hour

**What's the Job?**

+ Perform quantity takeoffs using issued-for-construction engineered drawings and prepare progress reports.

+ Conduct routine field walk-throughs to validate and quantify physical installed quantities.

+ Monitor, compare, and validate installed quantities reported by construction contractors.

+ Assist in the validation of field change orders and reconciliation of discrepancies between engineering drawings and as-built quantities.

+ Collaborate with the project controls team to provide earned value management (EVM) updates and support project-specific deliverables.

**What's Needed?**

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

+ Experience working as a project quantity surveyor in construction, particularly in industrial gases or oil and gas/petrochemical industries.

+ Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and advanced use of MS Excel.

+ Familiarity with scheduling software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

+ Strong understanding of project management principles, including schedule development and risk analysis.
