Position Summary & Duties: This Project Controls Specialist is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our office in Baton Rouge, LA. PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST POSITION SUMMARY The Project Controls Specialist performs simple routine tasks in preparing manpower plans, project schedules, and forecasting projects within HGA's Project Management department. The Project Controls Specialist performs assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in tracking the progress on projects with minimal supervision. The Project Controls Specialist assists in analyzing the project financial data and forecasted data to determine the outcome of a project in relation to the budget. Assists in reviewing project history and setting benchmarks. PROJECT CONTROLS SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides Project Controls/Project Management assistance. Project Controls Specialist assists in setting up budgets, work orders, task orders, meeting agendas and minutes. Assists in forecasting and tracking total project budgets. Assists in reporting and general project support. Project Controls Specialist maintains status updating on all projects. Perform quality control checks per QA/QC plan. Assist in maintaining project schedules. Project Controls Specialist supports project and grant managers in various tasks as directed. Qualifications: Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management degree is preferred. Bachelor's degree in a business is required. Project Controls Specialist should possess 5+ years of project controls experience. Primavera P6 scheduling software experience is required. Must possess prior experience with cost estimating. Prior project controls experience working for an engineering consulting company preferred. Candidates should be located within daily commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA.
